Sirius 118 XM 164 PDF Version and the Excel Version
First some of the highlights for the week; we have two different specials honoring Stewart including episodes of The Six Shooter, The Victory Theatre (The Philadelphia Story) and a parody of his western Bend Of The River as presented on The Jack Benny Program.
The other big highlight is the sesquicentennial celebration of Scottish author Arthur Conan Doyle (born in Edinburgh, Scotland May 22nd 1859 - died July 7th, 1930). Not only will it feature two Sherlock Holmes episodes as well as Conan Doyle's story The Ring of Thoth as presented on Escape (starring Jack Webb) but the special begins with some excerpts from my interview with CBS Late, Late Show host Craig Ferguson. The Scottish born entertainer is a big Radio Classics fan and we visit about his impressions of Sherlock Holmes on radio.
Finally, I got a great CD of Old-Time Radio photos from listener Bill D. and I plan to share some of them here on the blog beginning with this post.
Enjoy.
Greg.
