What the heck is with the football game on radio classics tonight? Doesn't Sirius have enough sports channels without putting football on my favorite classic radio station? Please tell me this is not going to be a regular occurance. The guide for this week didn't say anything about a freaking football game.

I'm in agreement with Larry. If this practice of running NFL games on 118 continues, I'm not going to just spit & sputter about it again like I have for the past 3 years, I'm canceling my two subscriptions, period.
...And it's NOT JUST football games, they've done it with college basketball too, but I'm not sure which other sports...usually when it occurs, I just get disgusted that I'm missing what's SUPPOSED TO BE ON, and I turn it off, or change the channel....but not anymore.

I'm to the point now where I'm so sick & tired of Howard Stern working ONLY a FOUR DAY week, and having TEN WEEKS of paid vacation, PLUS any OTHER holidays that might fall on a monday (MLK day, president's day, etc) that this NFL BS on my Radio Classics is the straw that's broken the camel's back. I DID NOT sign up for this when I subscribed back in Nov. 2005, and I'm certainly NOT going to PAY a monthly fee to listen to sports that I DON'T have any interest in whatsoever!

WE ARE SUBSCRIBERS, NOT JUST LISTENERS!

I agree with Brian and Larry. I originally subscribed to Sirius about 4 years ago as a gift for my wife to aid with her commute. I took over on our weekly drive to PA when I discovered the Classic Radio channel. Soon, I had 2 subscriptions; one for the car, the other for the house. Then came the shock of seemingly endless College Basketball.

I discovered that XM had a classic channel (and Mr. Bell) and no preemption for sports. I soon added an XM receiver to my roster. It was great, if Sirius had something I didn't want to hear (such as sports or one of the several radio programs I don't care to listen to), I could switch to XM and have my classics, and the knowledge that Greg brought. And no preemption, ever. It soon became my prime radio, except on weekends, when Sirius' NPR feeds took over.

Now that XM and Sirius are kind of one, I ditched the XM subscription and kept the 2 Sirius(the current vehicle has built in Sirius). My shock of hearing sports shoving Classic Radio off for hours of noise, especially when there are seemingly hundreds of sports channels already, has made me seriously consider canceling one or both of my subscriptions. For the money, I can subscribe to one of the many Classic Radio Internet sites that offer downloads and load an MP3 player. NPR I can probably also find as live feeds or podcasts.

Greg Bell is the only reason I won't.

But Sirius be warned...

Love 118 but for the times when I am not near my set, is there ever going to come the day when it is available ON LINE as well?

The beauty of these blogging engines and CMS platforms is the lack of limitations and ease of manipulation that allows developers to implement rich content and 'skin' the site in such a way that with very little effort one would never notice what it is making the site tick all without limiting content and effectiveness.
